The National Australian Pharmacy Students’ Association’s (NAPSA) 2017 Charity  Cup campaign drew to a close in late May after a successful two months of  fundraising. NAPSA members supported LIVIN, a non-profit charity organisation  founded to help eradicate the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Equality in Healthcare

The National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association (NAPSA) is a firm believer of equality for all, whether it be religious, race, gender or sexual orientation/identity. Everyday we celebrate and embrace diversity, something which NAPSA welcomes. Despite this, there are significant inequalities and disparities in health care for LGBTQI+ people, particularly with regard to mental health.

The National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association (NAPSA) has commenced Charity Cup 2017 in efforts to raise money and awareness for LIVIN. The annual, nationwide competition began on the 3rd April and will run for two months, concluding on 26th May.

The 2016 National Pharmacy Student Survey results are in!

The National Pharmacy Students' Survey (NPSS) is an annual survey conducted by the National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association (NAPSA). The survey identifies any issues, queries or concerns amongst students, and uses this to implement positive change for pharmacy students. Furthermore, the data collated is utilised as a tool by NAPSA to accurately represent and advocate for pharmacy students around Australia. In November 2016, 761 pharmacy students completed the survey; more than doubling the response from the 2015 NPSS. The results highlighted key workforce issues facing pharmacy students and indicated interesting perceptions of the industry.

Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month

May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month, and NAPSA pledges its support to Cystic Fibrosis Australia through its Charity Cup which just finished. Cystic fibrosis is a cruel disease, but Morgan Gollan (Pharmacy Intern) does not it get her down, check out her presentation at Griffith University on May 9th.

NAPSA officially launch Alumni Network at APP 2016

The National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association (NAPSA) is officially launching their alumni membership at the Australian Pharmacy Professional (APP) conference on the Gold Coast this weekend.

Past NAPSA members can visit the NAPSA stand (295) at APP to sign up to their alumni membership or visit the website at Those who sign up at the conference will also receive a free 'Alumni Pin', which will identify them as official members.

Applications for 2016 Rural Pharmacy Scholarship Now Open

Students from rural and remote locations who are studying pharmacy or are intending to study pharmacy are invited to apply for the Rural Pharmacy Scholarships for 2016.

Supported by the Australian Government and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, applications for the scholarships worth up to $40,000 open on Monday, 26 October 2015 and close 31 January 2016.

The Pharmacy Cricket Scholarship

Pharmacy Student Applications are invited for 'The PHARMACY CRICKET SCHOLARSHIP' of $2500, two to be awarded. Pharmacy Cricket Inc. is to provide this Scholarship for a student (male or female) presently in any year of a full-time Pharmacy Degree course or in a Masters degree course.
