NAPSA Structure

Evie Armstrong Gordon

University of Sydney

It is with great pleasure that I can introduce myself as the NAPSA Secretary for the 2017/18 term.

I am currently in my fourth year of a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney. I have been involved with my local branch since I first started university, as year representatives and later, as SUPA Secretary in 2016/17. I am extremely excited to be involved with the Sydney Congress Organising Committee this year as Vice Congress Chair.

I am extremely passionate about pharmacy and the opportunities that exist within the profession. NAPSA has created an amazing environment for enthusiastic students to continue their learning and develop life-long friendships.

I am particularly interested in extending NAPSA’s interdisciplinary collaborations with other student healthcare organisations. An important aspect of delivering optimal health care is to work in an interdisciplinary team and I believe it to be both important and beneficial to start developing those relationships early on in a pharmacist’s career.

I am also focused on strengthening NAPSA’s relations on an international scale, amongst the AsiaPacific region and the International Pharmacy Students’ Federation (IPSF). NAPSA’s connections with these groups provide incredible opportunities for students to learn and be inspired by fellow students from around the world.

I encourage everyone I meet to get involved with their local branches, professional organisations and continuing education events. The best way to make the most out of this amazing career is to embrace the opportunities that the pharmacy community offers.
